Example #10 ----14 Hour Rule (Multiple Sleepers and Multiple Off-Duty periods)

THIS IS A LEGAL LOG

In this example the driver took multiple sleepers and off-duty, DDL will analyze and exclude the best sleeper in calculating the 14 hour rule.  Thus giving the driver the best extension, Doing this will give the driver the best combination, to maximize his/her driving. In this case the sleeper from 11:15 AM to 2:00 PM is best.

Note:  After a 2nd sleeper of 7 and 1/4 hours the new 14 hours would restart at 2:00 PM.

Note#2.  All Off-duty counts against the 14 hours and does not benefit the driver in anyway.

Note#3.  The driver has continued his sleeper berth period from 6:45PM into the next day for another 2 hours giving him/her a total of 7 1/4 hrs when added to the period starting at 11:15 AM equals 10 hours.
