Example #13 ----34 Hour Restart (Off-Duty and Sleeper Berth combined)

 

34-Hour Restart

A driver may restart the 60/70- hour period by taking 34 or more consecutive hours off-duty provided at the beginning of the 34-hour period, the driver has not accumulated more than 60 or 70 on-duty hours in the prior 7 or 8 days.

BOTH THESE LOGS ARE LEGAL

In this example the driver used the sleeper and off-duty for 34 continuous hours to restart his clock. This is fine as long as the driver doesn't drive or go on-duty not driving , during this 34 hours.
