Example # 6 ---- 14 Hour Rule (Driver Working Past 14 hours)

   

 

THIS IS A LEGAL LOG

In this example the driver WORKED past 14 consecutive hours, but did NOT DRIVE past 14 consecutive hours.

The rules do not prohibit "on-duty, not driving" time past 14 consecutive hours.

The driver may not return to driving subject to normal limits under 395.3 without taking at least 10 consecutive hours off duty, or at least 10 consecutive hours in the sleeper berth, or a combination of at least 10 consecutive hours off duty and sleeper berth time.
