Example # 11 -- In this example the driver reset his/her 11/14 clock on Day 1 at 9:00 PM. At 1:00 PM Day 2, the driver goes into violation of the 11-hour rule.

You must begin the eight (8) hour sleeper berth period on, or before the 14th hour after coming on duty (starting the clock). Compliance with the 11-hour and 14-hour rules is recalculated from the end of the first of the two periods used to obtain 10 hours of duty. In this example 1:00 PM. The violation stands.
