Example #3 ---- 11 Hour Rule
11 Hour Rule
A driver may not drive more than
11
hours following 10 consecutive hours off-duty.
Day 1-- Violation starts at: 4:30 PM -- Violation last for: 0.25 Hours -- Rule Violated: 11-Hour Rule -- 395.3(a)(1) USA (Red Arrow) Example # 2 -- 11 Hour Rule -- Violation of the 11 hour rule at 4:30pm. The 2 hour sleeper from 06:15am to 08:15am does not exclude from the 14 hour rule. In this example the driver drove past the 11th consecutive hour by 15 minutes. The driver than followed by 10 consecutive hours in the sleeper. (Begun on Day 1 and continued on Day 2) *NOTE* The driver could of logged the 10 consecutive hours off-duty or used a combination of off-duty and sleeper to get the 10 consecutive hours.
There are no violations on Day 2. |
