Want to know how to do something in DDL?, Have a question on what something does?, Want to know where something is? , then you came to the right place. On-Line Help breaks DDL down to the user level, with screen shots, video clips (only on DVD Disk), Step by Step instructions. Tips, Notes, and more. Most screen shots will have "hotspots" (a hotspot is an area you click on, and you will be taken to that help section) Question: How will I know if the screen shot has hotspots? Answer: As you move your mouse/cursor over a screen shot, it will turn into a hand as it moves over the hotspot. simple click and you will be taken to that section. Question: I am still lost on all this hotspots, bookmarks and hyperlink stuff, can you explain the different? Answer: Ok first depending on how the author used hotspots, bookmarks and hyperlinks, they can do the same things, or completely different. DDL in order to keep things uniform will use a color code to represent bookmarks, and hyperlinks, hotspots are invisible and only the change in your mouse/cursor indicate your over one. Book Marks will be in BOLD Red Color. EXAMPLE Hyper Links will be in BOLD Blue Color. EXAMPLE Bookmarks are shortcuts to the subject, instead of you the reader having to read the entire document to find help on one item, a bookmark, when click on, will take you to the start of that subject. Hyper Links can take you also within the document, but normally are used to take you to different documents, web sites, links and so on. They can be used to start a download, write an email, and many more different things. simple click on the hyper link, to be taken to the new area. Examples will be used to show you, or explain how to do something. Tips are used to give another way to also do the same thing, or to explain advance ways. Notes are used to give more information to the user. |
